What is the Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Program?
It's a renter rewards program available for participating Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards members will earn one point for every qualified U.S. dollar on each qualifying car rental at participating Thrifty locations in the United States and Canada.
Who is eligible?
This program is open to all new and existing Thrifty Blue Chip members. If you are already a member, all you need to do is select Blue Chip Rewards as your preferred loyalty partner. To become a member in the Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Program, complete an application enrollment form available on thrifty.com. Only one membership per person is allowed. Only individuals with an address in the U.S. and Canada may participate.
How can I earn Points?
Participants will earn one point for every qualified U.S. dollar spent on each qualifying rental. Qualifying rentals include all paid, car rentals at participating Thrifty locations in the United States and Canada.
Corporations and other entities may not participate. Each individual must participate separately and may have only one account within the Program. Neither participation in the Program, nor Rewards are transferable. Participants may not combine, barter or otherwise transfer Points with or to other persons.
If members choose to earn frequent traveler miles/points when they rent instead of Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Points, they must provide their frequent flyer number on the enrollment form. Renters are not entitled to both frequent flyer miles and points. Members may change their reward selection at any time by modifying their profile on thrifty.com or by contacting Thrifty Blue Chip Member Services at 1-888-400-8877.
* Industry discount rates, tour/prepaid rates and complimentary rentals do not qualify for frequent flyer miles or rewards Points.
Members and travel agents/managers must provide the Thrifty Blue Chip member ID at the time they make a reservation or at the time of rental in order to receive program points. If you have indicated in your profile that you want to earn Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards points instead of frequent flyer miles, every rental day under the program will qualify for points. Only one Thrifty Blue Chip member ID per rental.
Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Program points are awarded on qualifying rentals at participating Thrifty locations in the U.S. and Canada. Neither membership in the program nor program points are transferable. Points will not be awarded on rentals when the renter has violated the terms of the Rental Agreement. Points earned do not expire provided you have Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards activity in the prior 24 months. Activity means a Thrifty Blue Chip Rental Rewards Point was either earned or redeemed on a rental. Membership may be terminated at the Company’s discretion if no Thrifty Blue Chip Renter Rewards activity has occurred in the prior 24 months. All points in the account will be forfeited at that time. If your Thrifty Blue Chip membership is terminated, all points earned will revert back to Thrifty and are not redeemable or transferable to another Thrifty Blue Chip member.

How can I redeem my points?
Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards require a one-day advanced reservation and the Blue Chip Rewards must be selected at the time of the reservation.
To use Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Points for a rental in the U.S. or Canada, members must redeem Blue Chip Rewards Points in one transaction online when booking a rental. To redeem Points and reserve a car online, log on to thrifty.com and make your reward reservation by checking the rewards box, select from the group of possible rewards on the reservations page, and complete the booking. Points will be automatically deducted from your account. Once points are redeemed and a rental reservation is made online, any changes, modifications or cancellations to the Reward reservation may be made online. Please note: You must cancel your reservation 24 hours before you pick up your vehicle in order to have your points returned if you used a Reward.
Thrifty reserves the right to limit the number of cars available for Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards usage. Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards rentals will be subject to vehicle availability at the time and place of rental. Except for One-Way Rewards where offered, vehicle must be returned to original rental location.
Rewards apply to contracted time and mileage charges only. Members are responsible for governmental or other surcharges and similar fees, taxes, tax reimbursement, vehicle license fees and fee recoveries, airport related fees, fuel, refueling and any optional services or products.
Rewards are not combinable. Only one Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards can be used per rental transaction. For example, if a member selects a one day, weekend or one week rental for a reward redemption, they may pay for additional days and extend the length of the rental, but they may not redeem for two or more rewards in the same rental reservation (so if they wanted to redeem for four days, they could not redeem four one-day rentals rewards in the same rental reservation). In addition, Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards may not be combined with any other discount, promotion, coupon or frequent traveler reward program. All local rental and age requirements apply.
Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards offers are void where prohibited by law. Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Points will not be refunded in the event of no shows, early vehicle returns or reservation cancellation requests, unless the rental is cancelled with at least twenty-four hours prior notice to the rental pick up time shown on the reservation. Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Points, frequent traveler miles or points and Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards are not exchangeable, refundable or redeemable for cash or credit under any circumstance. Tax liabilities arising from the Program are the sole responsibility of the member.
Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards points are available for use on rentals of Compact through Full-size cars. Blue Chip Reward points may only be redeemed for rentals within the U.S. and Canada according to the renting location's terms and conditions, and are subject to availability and must be surrendered at time of transaction.

Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Points may only be redeemed within the U.S. and Canada at Thrifty, according to the renting locations terms and conditions and subject to availability and blackout dates. Blackout dates are subject to change without notice.
Dates: February 11, 2016 - February 19, 2016. Blackout Locations: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, New York Zone including Newark locations, Manhattan and New York Airports , Wyoming and Utah.
Dates: March 23, 2016 – March 30, 2016. Blackout Locations: All States.
Dates: March 26, 2016 – March 28, 2016. Blackout Locations: All States.
Dates: July 1, 2016 – July 4, 2016. Blackout Locations: All States excluding Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
Dates: October 6, 2016 – October 8, 2016. Blackout Locations: Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York Zone including Newark locations, Manhattan and New York Airports, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Dates: December 16, 2016 – December 28, 2016. Blackout Locations: Florida and Hawaii

Reward points are not transferable or combinable with any other promotion, offer or non-discountable rate.
Thrifty has the right to change, limit or modify program rules, regulations, rewards and point levels at any time and without notice. Thrifty has the right to end the Program by providing six months prior written notice to actively participating members. In the event of termination of the Program, reward points must be redeemed or they will be forfeited. Points earned do not expire as long as you have a Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards activity in the prior 24 months. Activity means a Thrifty Blue Chip Rewards Point was either earned or redeemed on a rental. The Program may be suspended or terminated if events beyond company's control such as computer equipment or electronic data transmission failure, strikes, natural disaster, civil disturbance or war materially affect the company's ability to perform the Program.
